Why Garden?

Some 10,000 years ago, gardening officially began through the first agricultural revolution. From this time forward, the fate of both people and plants became irreversibly intertwined.

Gardening has persisted in various forms with a range of intentions. Today, people garden for pleasure and purpose as gardens can provide both aesthetically pleasing landscapes and edible produce for health and wellbeing.

People garden for knowledge.

People garden for security.

People garden for local vitality.

People garden for civic engagement.

People garden for peace.
