I happen to be 5′ 3″ tall and for a human, that’s a little below average. For dill, however, that’s pretty tall!
If you pass through the east lawn of the Bryan House, you might notice a plot of dill stalks, some reaching over five feet in height! This variety of dill, grown in the Bryan House Garden and by local growers in Bloomington, reaches an average height of 2 to 3 feet, distinguishing itself from fernleaf dill that only grows an average of 18 inches in height.
All varieties of dill can be easily added to yogurt, cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, potatoes, and refrigerator pickles…so hunt some dill down in Bloomington today!
