Weekly Harvest Update

Kentucky wonder pole beans freshly picked from the Bryan House Garden.

This week’s work day was quite successful in terms of harvest. Bringing our grand total to 35 pounds of produce, we harvested 4.5 pounds of cucumbers, and 1 pound of Kentucky wonder pole beans.

Next week, we will be harvesting potatoes in addition to more beans and cucumbers. The tromboncino squash, mustard greens, chili peppers and fennel should be ready soon as well. The herbs at the Bryan House (dill, oregano, parsley, and basil) are also being harvested as quickly as they can used to flavor the interesting dishes the garden volunteers are cooking up!

Be sure to partake in the bountiful harvest of the Bryan House Garden by participating in the weekly work days on Wednesdays from 6-8pm.
